Stay: Llove
Daikanyama, JapanThe brainchild of the artistic director behind the Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy in Amsterdam, Llove hotel is a temporary hotel-within-an-art-exhibit created specifically for DesignTide Tokyo. It’s not finished yet, but these preliminary sketches give some creative insight into how much fun they’re having with the concept—a high-design, pop-up spin on the Japanese love hotel.
Intended to highlight creative collaboration between Dutch and Japanese designers and architects, the all-star lineup includes recognizable names (if you have a subscription to Wallpaper magazine) like Richard Hutten, Pieke Bergmans, Hideyuki Nakayama, Yuko Nagayama and Scholten & Baijings, for starters. There will also be a café, a souvenir shop, a book store kiosk and an art gallery bathroom. They started accepting reservations earlier this month.
